Glitches
Coin Case
This is a cool glitch, and sometimes different things happen with different games. You can do this by talking to one of two Pokémon you see out of battle, one being the Machop in Vermillion City, the other being the Butterfree at the end of the Ilex Forest. Then look at your Coin Case to see what happens! With the Machop, most games reset and then when you start it up again, the colours will be inverted, and in Gold, the Ho-Oh in the start up screen will be coloured instead of being the normal silhouette. With the Butterfree, you'll probably get a message saying, "Coins: Which move?e PP of".
Clone Pokémon
This is a glitch that allows you to clone Pokémon. This is especially useful for Pokémon like Lugia/Ho-Oh and the starters. If the Pokémon is holding an item, the item will be cloned too. Save in front of your PC. Deposit the Pokémon you want to clone into an empty box. You can clone up to 5 at a time. Change the box. It will say, "Saving... Do not turn off the power". Turn the game off about half a second after the full stop at the end of 'power'. When you turn the game back on, you should have the Pokémon both in your box and in your party. It might take a few tries if you've never done it before, but timing is everything.
Glitched Pokémon
When you clone the same Pokémon twice by using the cheat above, the new Pokémon will be glitched. When you go to get the Pokémon from the box, the entire box will be filled with question marks and glitched letters. Sometimes entering this box will freeze up your game. When you withdraw the Pokémon, it's name will be a question mark and when you look at its stats, there will be similar glitched letters like the ones the box was filled with. When you send this Pokémon into battle, it will say, "Go! ???????????????????..." and the text box will be filled with glitches and the game will freeze. If you put the Pokémon in the day care and then talk to it outside, it will do the same thing as when you send it out to battle.
