Affiliation
Affiliation is when two websites each display a button linking to the other site. This helps both sites receive more traffic! Most websites have a column or page specifically for displaying their affiliates. Sora has one on the right side of every page! To be fair, they are displayed in alphabetical order. If you have a Pokémon website and you would like your button up on Sora’s affiliation menu, read below to see what I’m looking for in an affiliate website! :)

What I look for
Before you send me an affiliation request, first take a bit of time to think about the following things:
Theme
Websites that affiliate with each other usually have something in common so they attract similar visitors to each others’ sites. For this reason, Sora will only affiliate with Pokémon websites (non-Pokémon content is fine if the site is predominantly Pokémon, but I won't take those pages into account when considering your site for affiliation).
Content
Anyone can just copy/paste some Pokédex information from Bulbapedia. Good websites have unique content, interesting articles or otherwise something that makes it stand out from other Pokémon fan sites. You should also have a good amount of content. While you might have three or four interesting articles, it won’t keep visitors on your site for long. Your content should also have no spelling or grammar mistakes.
Layout
To make a good layout, you need to have an understanding about what colours work well together and which ones will work with a website design. Your layout should look clean, be easy to navigate around and shouldn’t have clashing colours. If you use any images not made by you, you need to make that clear. Give credit to the original artist and link back to their website. It’s also a good idea to ask permission to use their images beforehand.
Hosting
Online web builders make it easy to create a free website quickly. This might mean you haven’t put as much effort into your site as someone else who made a layout from scratch. I am fine with websites that are hosted for free, but on two conditions: You made the layout yourself, and there aren’t excessive pop-ups or ad banners. I recommend Weebly.com for free web hosting with no ads- it’s who Sora is hosted by after all!
